The Aalto desk is a modern piece of furniture named after the Finnish word for "wave" due to its undulating form. It is designed to offer a minimalistic and flowing body that sits elegantly under a sleek glass desktop, which allows for easy viewing of stored items and keeps the work surface uncluttered.
Crafted from steamed and bent plywood, the desk features naturally formed pockets that store and display work essentials, reducing the chances of misplacing tools. The plywood material used in its construction provides a durable, lightweight and environmentally friendly solution to furniture production. The desk is manufactured using a process that involves piecing the plywood together, allowing it to achieve its flowing shape.
